2007 Rules
ANY driver caught drinking alcohol or using illegal drugs will be disqualified and face possible suspension. Drivers are responsible for the actions of their crewmembers.
- NO children 14 years old and younger will be permitted in the restricted areas! Head of staging and burn out area.
- ONE crewmember allowed at the staging line. They must stay behind the car and not touch the car while staging.
- Pit area and return road speed limit is 10 mph. Absolutely no burnouts except in the burn out area.
- Deep staging IS allowed but not guaranteed. You must have deep written on front and rear of vehicle.
- DO NOT final stage until your opponent has pre staged. Courtesy staging will be enforced.
- ALL classes with the exception of Jr. Dragsters are set on Auto-Start. Once both vehicles are pre staged, the second vehicle has 15 seconds before the tree is automatically activated. This predetermined amount of time is called TIME OUT. If the second vehicle fails to stage before the system times out it will be given a RED LIGHT FOUL.
- The best reaction time in the final round of practice will receive the bye run in the first round. In the event of an equal number of cars in the first round, the bye run will carry forward until used. For the second round forward, the bye run will go to the person with the best reaction time from the previous round. Note, Only one bye run per race per person. YOU MUST TAKE THE LIGHT ON THE TREE ON THE BYE RUN AND TRAVEL DOWN THE TRACK UNDER VEHICLES OWN POWER.
- ALL burnouts must be in designated area only. WATER ONLY used for burnouts.
- Crewmembers ARE NOT PERMITTED to hold or touch vehicle during burnout.
- NO burnouts across starting line except vehicles without front brakes.
- Parents, unless you are accompanying them, please keep your children 14 years old and younger off any kind of motorized golf cart, ATV, mini bike or four-wheeler. This is for THEIR safety. Any support type vehicle should have your competition number on it for identification purpose.
- NO GLASS CONTAINERS permitted in the race facility. NO ALCOHOL visible from head of staging to starting line.
- Make sure to CONFIRM your dial in on the scoreboard BEFORE you do your burnout!! Once burnout is completed the dial in on the board is the number you are assigned.
- CLEARLY AND DARKLY write dial in on passenger side window, rear window and windshield. You will receive ONLY ONE WARNING and if we can’t read the dial in you FORFEIT that run.
- IF CURFEW COMES INTO PLAY SEMI FINAL AND FINAL ROUNDS WILL BE ROUND ROBIN. ALL COMPETITORS MUST RETURN DIRECTLY TO THE STAGING LANE AND WILL HAVE A MAXIMUM TIME OF FIVE (5) MINUTES TO BE READY TO START BURNOUTS. IN THE EVENT A DRIVER DOESN’T RETURN TO THE STAGING LANE THEY WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AND THEIR COMPETITOR WILL RECEIVE THE WIN. IF NEITHER DRIVER RETURNS TO THE STAGING LANES THE MONEY WILL BE SPLIT AND NO FINAL ROUND POINTS AWARDED.
- ALL JR DRAGSTERS must be towed when not on the track. Touching vehicle during eliminations is prohibited.
- You may receive a break pass if you notify the tower BEFORE the first round of eliminations begins. The pass will be good for the price of your entry fee less the spectator fee. Example= Pro $45.00 entry fee minus $10.00 spectator fee = $35.00 break pass.
- IHRA SAFETY RULES FOR YOUR ET AND CLASS WILL BE ENFORCED.
- NO ANTIFREEZE IN RACE CARS. IF YOU DROP ANTIFREEZE ON TRACK SURFACE DURING POINTS RACE YOU WILL FORFEIT ALL POINTS FOR THAT ENTIRE EVENT!!
- IF A RACER HAS A PROBLEM, SEEK HELP FROM TIM HELMS, JEFF STARNES, OR MIKE BRADLEY. DO NOT BOTHER THE STAFF BECAUSE THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO. WE WILL DISCUSS ANY MATTER AS LONG AS YOU REMAIN CALM. IF YOU USE ANY FOUL LANGUAGE OR YELL, THE DISCUSSION WILL END THEN AND THERE AND SUSPENSION WILL BE AT THE DISCRETION OF THE OWNERS. IF YOU TOUCH ANY EMPLOYEE OR OWNER IN AN AGGRESSIVE MANNER YOU WILL BE SUSPENDED FOR THE YEAR, FACE POSSIBLE LEGAL ACTION, AND FORFEIT ANY AND ALL POINTS!!!!!
- NO test and tune passes between rounds after 1ST round as started. As the final rounds approach, time permitting you may make test and tune passes. This is dependent upon time and is up to management.
- Make time runs with your class.
- If a competitor arrives AFTER the race has started he/she may enter the race as long as the race is in the buy back rounds. Example; Car #JP123 pulls in the gate while first round is running. They would pay their entry fee for class PLUS first round buy back entry fee and start racing in the reentry round.
- Time permitting you can make TWO time runs and possibly three!!
- DO NOT throw cigarette butts on the race track or in staging lanes area.
- NO double entries in the same class. This will be up to the discretion of the track.
- Protest policy. If you want to submit a protest you may do so in writing. Write down clearly and concisely what it is you’re protesting. Bring it to the tower and give it to one of the track stewards ALONG with $100.00 cash. If the person protested is found LEGAL then you forfeit your protest fee. If the person is found illegal then you receive $75.00 back. The track keeps $25.00 either way. Only the person or one person representing the protester logging the protest will be allowed in the protest area. We’ll determine a neutral protest area on a case by case basis.
- Before it comes up, YES we are an IHRA sanctioned track. We pay for this membership. However the final call is ours to make, period. If we make a call that is different than what’s written in the IHRA rule book, then our call supersedes their rule book for our events.
- THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE OF ALL IS TO HAVE FUN, ENJOY SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND HAVE A SAFE 2007 RACING SEASON!!!!!
